Audley Moore (1898–1997), known as 'Queen Mother' Moore, was a civil rights leader in Harlem, New York. After migrating from New Iberia, Louisiana, she worked with Marcus Garvey, leader of the United Negro Improvement Association, a Black nationalist organization that inspired many civil rights activists. Moore became a foundational figure in the Black Power movement and was among the first to demand reparations for slavery[3].
