Rosewood, Florida, FL
A white mob destroyed the predominantly Black town of Rosewood, Florida, in January 1923, killing at least six African Americans and forcing the entire community to flee. The town was completely abandoned and never rebuilt[11]. The massacre was triggered by false accusations against a Black man[11].
